About

My name is Jasmin Junger and I’m a 27 year old process engineer living in South-West Germany who loves to play with colours and textures through photomanipulation. It balances my working life, where I do the basic engineering for amine washes – these are parts of (mostly) petrochemical plants that deal with cleaning the natural or synthetic gas before it can be processed further.
Me on the internet
I’ve been using Photoshop for roughly 6 years now, 4 of which I have been on deviantArt, one of the coolest communities on the net I might add ;) I was a volunteer in their Artist Relations department for over a year in the function of Gallery Director of Photomanipulation. I ended this committment in November 07 to focus on my engineering studies. However, I am still very much active over there, both on my main account I can be found there by the name of kuschelirmel.deviantart.com and my stock and resources account kuschelirmel-stock.deviantart.com, where I’ve published a considerable amount of photomanip/photoshop tutorials as well as tutorials and templates on dA’s journal CSS feature.
Why open a blog on top of all that?
I hope to use this blog to publish more short, informal tutorials on photomanips, digital darkroom techniques and Photoshop. Short & informal compared to the lengthy stuff I usually post at my dA stock account… so far I’m not quite succeeding, but I’m working on it.
I’ve been published in the following Magazines
